Too many days. Too much work.

I aquí teniu el resultat:

14g
32,25m

I haven't written in my blog for days...I've got too many projects on my needles in which I'm working at the same time and I've got too much work these days. So I couldn't finish anything to show... I hope that next weekend I will be able to work in one of them...

Last weekend we took our first spinning lessons with Mar. I didn't take any pictures, but if you are curious about this, you can visit this, and this blog.

In our first lesson we died natural merino yarn and then we learnt how to spin with a handspindle. The second day (as we should wait till the yarn is dried) we span with natural yarn both with the spindle and with Mar's spinning wheel!

These days I span some grames of yarn that later on Sunday evening I tried to ply for the first time. Here you have my first two plied yarn!

Do you think that I can knit something with it?

Dyeing with kool-aid

I've been dying with kool-aid. I've spent a good time doing it...in fact, it's very fun. For those of you that don't know what it's kool-aid, you can compare it with that powder beverage called Tank that we drank when we were children...but with more colouring!

I dyed two hangs of 100g wool yarn. For the red skein: I didn't have four packets of the same flavor so I mixed two that have a similar colour: cherry and tropical punch.

To get the multicolored skein I used, grape, switchin' secret (green), and orange. I really like purple and green but orange...it's a bit neon...

Amsterdam

Last weekend I travelled to Amsterdam. I enjoyed the trip very much, more than I hoped because I were there four years ago and I suppose that I would think more or less the same than then about the city. However I had a great surprise!

This time we were there for a weekend and we could walk around the city. I liked everything of that city, streets, channels, old houses, bikes, even bad weather…and I loved Van Gogh’s Museum and its exhibition “Barcelona 1900” that will be in the city till next January. But not every thing was visiting the city, I also have time to buy some yarn from Rowan. I know that it isn’t a Dutch brand but temptation was too strong…It’s difficult to find some kinds of Rowan yarn in Barcelona!
